Government and public sector in Papua New Guinea is constantly challenged to strengthen management systems and practices that will improve government’s ability to effectively and efficiently utilise public finances.

BDO provides a significant level of advisory and assurance services to government owned and controlled entities helping them achieve compliance under the public bodies' legislation with respect to their financial and regulatory reporting obligations.  Public bodies are mandated to observe and maintain the principles of good governance, transparency and accountability.  The public sector entities that we serve include major public utility organisations, corporate entities and regulatory authorities.
