BDO publishes 2016 Annual Statement

In BDO’s 2016 Annual Statement, we  announce a successful year as our network continues to reap rewards and enhance our reputation as one of the most innovative networks in our profession.

BDO’s ability to embrace change and achieve growth has created opportunities around the globe. While global events such as Brexit and the US elections had an influence on growth rates across all professional services, the BDO network was proud to announce an 8% growth in revenues for year-end 2016, with a US$ 7.6 billion global combined fee income.

Next to organic growth, our network’s successful mergers and acquisitions strategy, amidst the continuing consolidation of the accountancy profession, contributed significantly to our growth. BDO realised an impressive number of strategic mergers throughout 2016, completing more than 30 of them across all regions.

In 2016, BDO’s global footprint expanded from 154 to 158 countries and territories. Our global headcount increased by 5.33% and the BDO network worldwide now counts 67,731 people working out of 1,401 offices.
